 ‘Long the path do we tread, a misty wood
Spanish moss hangs from its triumphant perch.
Dew drops fall from trees; you pull on your hood
We go approach our place, a mountain birch.
Carved in its flesh our memories have passed
Some of ours and some of others we see
Let your fingers touch the dead hands of the past
But be wary, the fruit of a poisonous tree.
So we sustain and exist in struggle
As we search for answers in but a tree.
A thousand and one feelings to juggle;
Who is to argue with us except we?
So carve four more letters, for the lack thereof
Carve four more letters, in the name of love.

Nice candid piece. I like that you didn't use too much contrast and left the darker tones. Nice lighting on the skin. I also like that it's not a 20 year old couple! LOL
