Been a while since I entered. Thought I would throw this up and see if it sticks. Left the negative space on purpose to help focus the offcenter subject... Dave

I didn't get to comment on this before but I love it. Great work! I like the neg space usage, the crop, the whole kit and kaboodle.

Very very interesting shot. Could the black have been the entire background with a different crop?

Very good color. Great macro. I like the framing and the exposure is just right. Very well focused and sharp. Nice job

absolutely brilliant colours! The border is a tad thick -- it distracts some from your subject. I like that the focus is on the centre of the flower, and that you decided not to have the flower directly in the centre of the shot. A slightly more even crop (maybe taking the same off each side that is being cut off or a little less off the top?) might have emphasized the range of colours and improved the composition, but what do I know? I'm just throwing out some ideas for improvement.

I don't like the off-center placement for such a symmetrical shot. Cutting the flower on the left top and bottom kills this shot for me. What if you JUST cropped to the inside of the flower? It's gorgeous.

Good richness. I like the way it's offset.

very dramatic - well lit and well taken

Excellent macro, vivid colors. The shallow DOF fits well here, especially the way you have the foreground and background blurred and the middle of the flower full in focus - 9.

I like the colors and the framing. The boarder is nice but looks alittle uneven. It is a beautiful flower, but would look better if the whole flower was in focus.

I think borders take away from the photos. Gives them a doctored feel..
