Cliche, cliche, cliche. Show me something out of the box next time. Otherwise technically competant. If this were advanced editing, you could have cleaned up some flaws. As is, you would have had to reshoot to remove them. [the hair and the "J" shaped artifact ... ink?] |

Could use a cleaner desk and a more interesting subject.

Should have put the clock in a refrigerator for a couple of min... would have drained the battery, but it would have gotten rid of the "2"
Now, I'll subtract whole 2 points for the monitor showing up in the photo. This monitor is the difference here between a photo and a snapshot. It is a pity that you went through the effort to think about the shot, set up everything, and in the end show us the monitor with some junk underneath ...5. |

Fits the challenge. There are too many distractions in this photo. A tighter crop on the clock would have done better in my opinion. |

You have an interesting concept here. Couple of things could improve this picture. Shoot against a less busy background, perhaps stick a nice dark sheet of paper back there, or place the clock against a more subtle backdrop. Or you could have cropped out the Philips LCD and stand. Second issue is that the exposure is a bit high and the glare off the clock a bit strong, factors which could easily be corrected by using a different exposure setting (or softer lighting). |

I see your five's here! Lots of them. I do think the composition looks tossed together. It's a clock on a desk with marks, partial monitor. Take more time to set up your shots, crop them a bit tighter, be sure there aren't marks or dust, dirt in your shots. Hope this is helpful to you. |

Single out the clock then. What is the monitor doing in this picture? |

Nice crisp image. A little bit of cleaning of the desk top and lighting under the monitor become almost necessary when the image is so clear. An 8. |
