Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil

Composition - The background is too busy for this pic. Whatever the cat is sitting on is not terrible, but a little busy too with all the little shiny spots. The cat looks pretty upset if I do say so. You cut him off a bit on the right side. Cats are pretty good subjects for photos generally, but this one looks like you're shooting him with water and not a camera.

Technical - The focus is way off. It almost looks like some kind of effect was added to this image to make it that way. From what I can gather here, it looks like the pic was pretty blurry and you tried to sharpen it too many times or tried to make a very small picture pretty big. Its lost a substantial amount of resolution for any number of reasons or combinations of reasons. Not a very well taken photo and I know that camera will take good pics, I have one sitting right behind me.

Overall - I'm not surprised by the score at all here. Unfortunately there are just too many things messed up (or maybe distorted on purpose) to allow this to score very high. Hopefully the next picture will do you better. Good luck in future challenges - Inspzil

Cute cat but it looks like you lost too much detail during compression.

Cat looks too enhanced or not enhanced enough, the rug's synthetic, the wood panelling is imitation, my senses are battered.

Cute kitty! It seems either over-exposed or over sharpened (I can't seem to ever tell the difference). Cropping off the hind end seems a tad mean. The blanket background sort of works, but the wood siding doesn't offer much contrast.

He doesn\'t look very happy, does he? Beautiful colors on his coat. Good lighting makes time for a good focus. Really strong visual impact - shows interest, emotion, as if this cat were trying to say something. . .
What\'s he sitting on - snow? Is he Cold!? Look at his eyes - Is he crying??
That\'s what I\'m reading from this Photograph-kinda sad looking

Some nice colors in your cat, is this a tortoise shell cat? Parts of the photo seem a little fuzzy to me, maybe it happened during saving for the web process maybe?

not quite in focus.

I like the colors and the subject, however, the digital artifacts keep me from giving this a really high score. Nevertheless, you did well with I'm guessing a low-res camera

Where did you focus? Chair appears to be in focus while cat is not. Also, a darker color bedding might have brought out the cat's colors.
