For those who thought I used a star filter, you're mistaken. This was f/25 for 30 seconds. This creates the stars due to the aperture blades. This was a basic editing challenge so no blur was done to the water either.

Very gorgous cityscape. I'm presuming no filter was used here due to the nice details throught out the photo (amazing what a long exposure and small aperture does). I also like how the parallel lines (left and right side of the photo, the bridge and the walkway) lead the viewer to the center and hte well lit area (whatever it is).... ok ... I just like the photo. 9 |

I never have liked star filters, they've always seemed so cheesy. |

Nice! I like the white under the bridge being complimented by the lights under the trees on the other side. I do think that the picture lacks an overall crispness. Still a nicely composed shot. |

Water does not look quite right, maybe to much processing |

I like this one. The composition is good, like the framing of the bridge and the bank. The colors are appealing also. |

I like that you have the bridge and the trees on either side to line up the shot, but somehow I feel like it doesn't lead my eye exactly to the middle...pretty darn close though! I like the lighting a lot, as well as the reflections on the water. Good skyline :-) |

one of the greater pics this challenge. I think a frame could nail this image as a ptential ribbon winner. |

Although you have a fine image and appealing subject, I feel it is a bit too soft and maybe a tiny bit dark, in the background area. Good job, though. 7 |

You've captured so many wonderful colors in this image, and then repeating them off the surface of th water, which makes them seem to glow, really warms my heart when I view this image. Nicely composed, and the perfect exposure. Very nice <8> |

Another person using a starflare lens filter? With one or two lights that are the focus or main support for an image that's okay, but with so many lights... well, it just looks artificial. Colors on the water are nice. Buildings seem fuzzy, particularly the lit text at the top that the brain wants to think should be readable, and aren't. |
