You learn a new thing everyday. I was scared to try this technique in case the DPC mob arrived to burn my house down once they discovered I'd 'cheated', but you seem okay! |

Thank you for the information on your title. I still like this shot very much, and enjoy your photographs from "the dark side". |

This is my favorite in the challenge and my only 10. I really like the light on the hair, it really sets it off. |

A shot like this is great because it survives the challenge and always remains a lovely dark study. Good job. |

I like the dark tone of this photograph. Has high emotional impact. The solitary figure walking along the narrow path of light, going somewhere at night. I didn't disect the technique used to capture this photo, don't care what it is, isn't. Just love the story it tells. One of my favorites in this challenge. |

Very impressive. I wonder why you called it nuit américaine? There's nothing here that would remind me of America. I think it's abstract enough not to be bound to any specific place. 10. |

This exemplifies this challenge to me. Very well done. My pick to win. So simple, yet so dramatic. Makes me wonder why I didn't think of a shot so simply good. |

Fine Art! Excellent composition, perfect use of light. The rim light on the hair saved this photograph from being a near miss. You nailed it, and I love it. |

I like all of the dark in this shot. The texture of the pavement is nice and the lighting leads the eye straight to the shillouette...it's an almost Hitchcock kind of shot. Very nicely done. |

I really like it. Although I think it could have been improved by positioning the camera so that the street traced more of a diagonal from corner to corner. That in my opinion would make for a more interesting journey for the eye along the leading lines of the images. |

a case where less is more especially in a late night challenge .. very well done altho maybe just a wee more light would be better? |

Interesting, I like the textures and the high contrast. Maybe cropping off the bottom 1/4 to 1/3 of the image would make it feel more balanced, all the blackness seems too much there. Original and creative. |

What a beautiful shot. The light hits her head at just the right spot and the negative space adds intensity - very cool composition. Good luck! (wish I'd taken it). 9 |

Light.. shapes.. texture.. very cool. I just wonder since its late night where a light like this comes from. Street light?

Cool picture that inspires a bunch of little stories. Personaly, I would like the negative space to be above the scene. But what a cool scene, I love it. Very cinematic. Good luck! |

Love this you have captured the feel and essence of late night. The lonely figure moving away into the night is first class.
This is the exact type of image I was thinking of when the challenge was announced. |
