| sadness... hm... I can imagine him saying, "What, are you kidding me?" ... he definitely doesn't look happy, but just because he's not happy doesn't mean he's sad... |

| i like the concept but would have liked to have seen man framed further to right instead of centered ... i think it would have added to the emptiness of the ride |

To me the title makes this somewhat confusing...he doesn't seem all that sad... more like " what the heck are you lookin' at ". It seems like the title is trying to suggest a certain mood/emotion that doesn't really exsist for the sake of drama? For example..."sad" carnival worker vs. "bored" carnival worker...on that note I really like this picture! The somewhat bored looking subject with that great text in the background on the ride he's working... action vs. inaction...I like the juxtaposition happening here.

? he looks bored, but not sad.
You've got the chap in focus well, and exposure is bang on, but the background is really distracting.
Yes, I know it's the context for the photo, but I think a more shallow depth of field, or getting in closer would have made this a better shot. |

| don't know if he looks sad, more like he just saw some kid puke on a ride, but still nice photo. Good colors and sharpness. |

| Sad? or bored? our composition is off - try to be aware what is right behind your subject - he has a giant lollypop growing from his back. also the stuff on the right side is not very interesting - perhaps a tighter crop would contast his mood with the lively words better? |

| Hmm I like the colors and composition of this shot the lines flow very nicely. While I do feel this fits the challenge I think the emotion is a little understated. I think a slightly closer crop or a bit more lighting on the mans face would have helped some. Overall still a very good image. Nice job. |

| Nice photo, looks more like what the H*ll. The lack of detail in the face (objectively speaking) could of been fixed with a tighter photo. The rest of the picture overrides the target. I would of moved him to the right, or cropped him right. The viewer's right. 6. |

| LOL, being an ex-circus worker I know the feeling. He looks like he's seen lots of hard years, and it's just another day lost to him. |
