like the use of selective desat. effective image. 8

great capture, but the poor focus is deadly to its impact. what a distraught looking little thing!

Seems a bit overprocessed

I don't think that the use of selective de-saturation here works. Had you left this in black and white, I think it would be a much stranger image. also, I'd crop some off the right as it doesnt really add anything to the image. good luck.

lacking sharpness in the model. nice contrast.

Aren't little girls expressive. =) Love the soft color of the dress and flower.

Lighting is nice and very nice focus and DOF, would like to see some of the trees cropped out.

nice concept and general composition altho a a lower f-stop (if it was available) to isolate girl from background via DOF would have improved shot IMO

Selective desat looks like an attempt to rescue a mediocre photo. Grey face is very unappealing. Background is sharper than girl.

lol nice try ...wish this shot was a little sharper ...love the title

Cute shot, but focus is off. This has the feel of a long-zoom being hand held with too slow a sutter speed. The desat is also a little off-putting in this case. I think keeping a little more green in the trees might have helped?

Great expression, but the photo quality could have been better.

If the focus was better on her face you'd get a 10 - great shot! 8

Priceless expression!

wish this image was sharper and the background needs the center area desaturated as well...what a cutie pie though!

Everything here seems to have a slight blur. Very odd selective desaturation, why has the space between the trees got colour?
05/02/2005 08:04:17 AM
cute shot, but very grainy on the face and not clear enough in focus, imho.
05/02/2005 06:03:57 AM
i see the mood, but the focus on this is pretty poor.

nice image and post editing.

The expression is priceless! I like what you have done with the photo ... might have worked better if photo had been sharper, but that expression was not going to wait.

if only it was a little more focused. it would have been perfect.
05/01/2005 10:10:54 PM
made me giggle! :D

I like how the pink is dominant, but it doesn't appear like she's in focus.

Darling little girl and the coloring is lovely. The focus is lacking. I do think you met the challenge.
