| He is amused yes, we see that on his face. But what about the backround? It's just straight black. This could be so much better with a nice colorful backround to match his mood |

| A bit too contrasty and harsh lighting (dark shadows) for an amused look, imo, but a good technical capture nonetheless. Maybe could use a hairlight for added definition of your model's head. Meets the challenge theme well. |

| Light seems too orange, and there's a strange line on the edge of the face. Shadow on the neck doesn't quite work for me. |

| Great lighting! And I think your choice of borders really adds to your picture. I know the dpc voters generally give people a hard time about borders, but this one really works. Good job! |

| This is a very nicely photographed image. Great detail, wonderful lighting, rich colors, good contrast, but for some reason, it does not stir much interest for me. Wish I could explain it, but even with all the great lighting, I just am not able to get excited about this image. <5> |

| Very nice clean portrait -pleasing expression. Perhaps the shadow under ther the chin is a bit too strong, lift the chin a bit? 8 |
