| Congrats on another good score. Did not vote but do like this one a lot. Good minimalism and B&W is the right choice for it. Man, break out that heated wetsuit, you gotta be pretty hard core to surf the northern Oregon coast. Burrrr! :) |

| Good composition. Well exposed. I don't think b&w convertion serve the picture; looks too monochromatic. If it were the effect you wanted, it's a success. Still a good picture. |

| Image seems to need alot of work to make it clearer. If you took care of the technical problem this image would be something I would like to hang on my walls because I am a surfer and can relate to what you are capturing here |

| There are probably many voters who think this should be in color. Not me. I am glad you converted it - I think the depth and tonal range you got from B&W pushes this image into the top 5 for this challenge. there is so much more detail than you would ordinarily see in the play of shadows and reflection. 10 for an excellently executed image. Good luck! |

Excuse me while I think out loud:
It is a matter of some interest to me that a person in a photo, regardless of how smal, becomes the subject. I think it is always true, because whenever I see a landscape with a token person I complain that it is no longer a landscape. So it is with this photo that the thing that makes the photo an exquisite one is the landscape; the clouds, the water, the mirrored shore. But there on that mirrored shore is a tiny speck of a human being. And suddenly the photo is of a person on the shore. Soooo....this photo epitomizes the minimalism of the challenge language. It is the ideal form for the challenge and its perfect expression. |
