The white cow in the background, actually. If you'd have moved over to the left a bit you might have been able to get the foreground cow's head to occlude the white cow. |

Way too dark on the ground. Nice composition. |

Interesting idea. I like the sky and the cow in the background, but the face of the cow in the foreground is so dark it's nearly lost in the fence. |

Very cool grey tones in this
Just remember to fix the tilt on this |

I keep looking at the second cow. I know the cow in the foreground is in the shade, but the lack of contrast in this area just doesn't hold my attention. 5 |

Back up some for the effect. |

I am not sure which cow is the main subject of the photo. I think for me it is the bright colored on in the background but the near cow causes a bit of confusion for me. I am also a bit bothered by the tilt of the horizon. Maybe the ground really was tilted but it makes me a bit uneasy when viewing this shot. |

b&w conversion not necessary I think. Horizon line look tilted. |

it would help if the cow were lit, either by sunlight of fill flash, It looks as though the tree is blocking the light. nice attempt though, 4 |

Because of the tones, it was the background cow that first caught my eye. |

I like the idea behind this photo, and had it been in better focus, it would have been a really good pic of the cow. I can't tell if the horizon is tilted, or if they cows are just on a gentle slope, And having the tree on the left and the line of trees at the back of the field unfortunately make the photo too busy for me to consider it as fitting the challenge description. Also, the way the light hits the second cow seriously distracts from the cow in the foreground, which I think is the one you wanted as the main subject. |

I little too underexposed. If the front cow had been in sun and the background in shade it would have worked better. |

Very little contrast between the background and your subject. It does not pop out at me. Your subject should be the strong point. I don't know if B&W was a good choice in this case. You picture is tilted to the right, A crop to adjust would of helped. Wish you the best in the challenge. |

How image meets challenge description 4 pts...this is very different from what I would expect to meet the description of the challenge not sure which cow you want me to look at...and image is a bit busy.
How image meets the defination of Minimalixm...0pts
Average score 3
Technical 5pts...needs to be sharper, with less foreground contrast
Artistic...6pts....over-all image is interesting to look at and think about. |

I like the use of black & white. I think this could have been a great photo for this challenge if the cow (I'm guessing it's a cow) in the foreground wasn't there. I love how the sun hitting the cow in the background makes it stand out so much from the rest of the landscape, but the cow in the foreground fights with the other cow for being the strong point in the image. |
