normally i wouldn't care for a subject right in the middle, but this one seems to work, where the texture of the field is interesting in and of itself. It might be nice to be closer to the bird, but then that wasn't the point of the challenge i guess |

Lemons to lemonade. Living in the mid-west must be a drag, but your photo is excellent. |

nice idea but I think the subject is too centered |

Oh yes.
Immediate focus on the bird.
Great DoF, great color use. |

Poor Composition, Nice idea. IMHO the bird needs to be sat on one of the thirds, not in the middle. If you are usure what I am talking about then please read up on "The Rule of Thirds". It would of transfrmed the image:-) ...7.... |

Meets the challenge well, and he's sharp. Nice contrast with field, and the field has a nice texture to it. |

Would be much more effective with the subject not in the center. |

Good shot and idea. Would be better if the bird wasnt centered. |

I think this would be better slighty off centre but very good fits the challenge |

I would have liked to see this shot zoomed in a tad closer. That way, you could have gotten more DOF and given this shot much more impact. |

Nice shot of a red winged blackbird. I think this photograph would be a little more effective if the bird not centered. Cropped so it was placed to the right or left. I like the color contrast. Overall, very well done. |

I think a brighter picture would offer better contrast to the bird, but nice idea. 6 |

Pretty good, normally I don´t care for centered composition but it works very well here. Good job. (7) |

I bet you get hammered for being centered. The bird could be a little bigger in the frame.( I know, drop 6k and you can get bird as big as you like) |

I wouldn't have put the bird in the very centre. |
