This is a beautiful shot. It's a pity that the challenge topic forced you to include the stuff in the bottom left corner. The image is much stronger without it.

The joke is on YOU Mr. Nature photographer! How do you like them apples! Not as much as I liked the picture.
05/03/2005 05:28:18 AM
Beautiful!

Beautiful landscape and wonderful reflection. The only thing I want to point out is that the view is so great that the phototgrapher that should be the main subject re. the rules of this challenge gets almost lost there in the corner. Great shot though!

great lines, colors and framing

Awesomely beautiful image, but doesn't quite meet the challenge. Your 'subject' is supposed to be the mountain or the little tiny person jammed down in the corner? If it's the mountain, it takes up a large portion of the images pixels. If it's the little man, he isn't 'the strong point of the image'.
Great capture anyways!

beautiful scenery. i'd love to know where this is. the photographer is a nice touch. weird that there is more grain noticable in the reflections.

The grandeur of the backdrop in this picture dwarfs the poor person in the bottom left. Not much of a minimalist feeling. 5
04/30/2005 07:51:18 AM
great use of space
04/30/2005 02:31:45 AM
To me, this seems like a "Where's Waldo" shot, that the mountains and lake are the subject, not the photographer. I like the photo a lot, though. The reflections are beautiful and you've got nice contrast and composition here.
04/29/2005 10:12:34 PM
Nice landscape and well executed.
04/29/2005 02:34:59 PM
I'd have to say the main subject here is the mountains...great shot though.
04/29/2005 01:03:28 PM
Too bad this wasn't an advanced editing challenge, you could do some major work to this picture
04/29/2005 07:56:45 AM
i like it.
A bit noisy though.

Beautiful image. I love the symmetry of the reflection. Good job
04/29/2005 01:52:20 AM
Beautiful scenery and you nailed the theme with the person there. It's a bit too grainy and there is a spot on the mountain on the left that should be fixed with cloning.
04/28/2005 09:04:55 PM
nice location. however, i would position the person in a different place. the foreground doesnt look very sharp on my screen.
04/28/2005 08:58:42 PM
very beautiful scenery, with that size to scale impression... not minimalism though
04/28/2005 04:00:54 PM
this is a gorgeous landscape shot so much so that it took alot to realize there was a different subject
04/28/2005 01:34:07 PM
Nice capture, but the noise in the sky & the water is distracting.
04/28/2005 12:22:23 PM
Wow what a place to photograph.
04/28/2005 10:31:36 AM
oh no not the person it was a great pix but then i go to the bottom and saw the person in the left hand corner. it is still a great pix although
04/28/2005 05:27:59 AM
This is a gorgeous image. I love the colors seen in this image. I also love the way the mountain and trees are reflecting off of the water. Nice work.
04/28/2005 02:02:22 AM
Superb photo, not sure in regard to this challenge as photographer not a strong subject compared to the rest of the shot.
04/27/2005 09:34:41 PM
Ok, see where your going here, but the photographer isn't exactly the focus of the shot is he.
04/27/2005 03:02:25 PM
great phot, the mountain and trees want to be the main subject, not the photographer. IMHO
04/27/2005 01:30:22 PM
great picure, but how does it fit the theme?
04/27/2005 11:38:17 AM
Gasp! What a BEAUTIFUL mountain scene. The reflection is amazing. You must have captured this pretty early in the morning. I wonder where this is. I like your little minimalist photographer in the corner :)
04/27/2005 11:02:04 AM
the strong point of this image to me is the mountains and they are the largest thing in this photo. I see how the guy is very minimal, but I dont think that he is the actual subject of the photo. That being said, I give it an 8 because it does meet the challenge a heck of alot better than most of these entries!
04/27/2005 10:42:42 AM
the reflection is wonderful
04/27/2005 09:55:47 AM
I think the photographer is too far down in the corner of the image, but the reflection is great. you might do really well with this. Good luck.
04/27/2005 09:34:54 AM
Lovely shot - best I've voted on so far. Have you tried using a program called NeatImage to help get rid of the grainyness of the sky and it's reflection? The demo is free to download. (there's also a dot centre-left... dust on the lens?) 7/10
04/27/2005 08:22:28 AM
well done in a beautiful setting
04/27/2005 07:11:30 AM
i hope u stepped back and got a few shots of the wonderful view here.....nice capture and title...good luck
04/27/2005 02:10:15 AM
Great Landscape
04/27/2005 01:01:11 AM
The scene is beautiful, but the subject is out of focus. If the focus had been reversed, with the photographer sharp and the mountains very out of focus, it would have been much more interesting.
04/27/2005 12:57:46 AM
This is a pretty grand photo. Although the object was to catch the photographer (who takes a very small part of the entire image) I am drawn to the grand and beautiful mountains and trees and lake. Would be an incredible image WITHOUT the photographer in it...But not for this challenge of course. <5>
04/26/2005 10:03:18 PM
beautiful mountain, lake and trees .... oh after admiring entire beauty I found you.
