Greetings from the Critique Club
I think you have a strong subject for a photo here. The landscape itself is breathtaking.
I understand the impluse to duotone the image for the sake of minimalism (reducing the elements). This being basic editing, you're not able to use burning and dodging to support this aesthetic. This means that the cactus and other details on the rock face are lost and the outline of the rock becomes the dominant feature of the photo, supported by the softness of the cloudy background.
Your title says to me that your subject is the saguaro on the cliffside. Unfortunately their placement and size does not lend them to be the focus of the composition. Instead the dominant element in your composition is the outline of the hillside.
The rest of the photo is solid - the focus is strong, though your post processing oversharpened slightly (there is some haloing around the edge of the rocks).
I hope you'll post the details about your process in your comments in the future, I love seeing the steps and particulars about shoots mentioned there. |

Classic composition. The clouds add lots of drama and like the tone as oppsed to a straight black and white. However, it does look a bit over sharp, but this is the only distraction I can fine. Great image. |

this shot is a nice shot, slightly over processed, but still good... my biggest problem with it is that its soo busy. each individual part demands attention. |

Not a single focal point. I really think this is different. Your presentation is different. I like the hung in space idea. |

Wow. Beautiful image. I think the color is a bit too blue, but I can see why you did it. Overall, I think its really nice. I give it a 9 |

Very nice photo and i think you made a good choice in black and white, the colors might have made the image too busy. good job. |

I think this is borderline for minimalism, but I note a few cacti in the photo, wouldn't they be an ideal subject? I'll give this a 5 |

Interesting use of duotone color. Pink/purplish? Hmmm. Lovely middleground/background use. |
