Challenge: Minimalism (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S5000 Z
Location: Lake Sliver, Winter Haven FL
Date: Apr 23, 2005
Shutter: 1200
Galleries: Nature, Animals
Date Uploaded: Apr 25, 2005

This was taken on a lake near my home on a Sunny day with a shutter speed of 1200. Manual focus, no tripod, umm lets see what did I miss. O' it was done with the multi shot function with any one is interested.

These are my fav. shots of bird flying across a body of water. I have many more like this one, I think I could truly sit all day and take pictures such as this one and be happy. I hope that this fits the challenge. I have been trying more to, not so much meet the challenge, but let my photo meet the challenge. If that make sense.

I like the subtle reflection in the water and the arched shape of the bird's wings. Nice timing. 7

Interesting, arresting shot. I'd have tried to control that exposure a touch further - to get less blow-out on those wings, and i wonder if you wouldn't have benefitted from cropping some to place your subject more strongly - I think you'd still meet the challenge with a touch larger a subject.

God capture. A little too centered for my taste.

For me this picture would have been a lot stronger if the egret was flying toward the viewer.
