 A tulip, with the sunrise. There was no flood. I just took this tulip from my yard and placed it in a small lake. I shot back into the light some to get the backlight through the leaves. I am guessing this will get spanked, so I am not expecting much.

This is so amazing. . . but how did you get it to stand up in the lake? I'm glad you got such a good score even tho I gave it what I thought it deserved -- a 9! I love it.

It would have been really cool to frame the tulip at the top so we could see the full reflection of it in the water as well - just my humble opinion though.

A considered and neat composition: great colour rendition also. Your detail in the flower is exemplary, but it does make the background slightly annoying - oh for less movement in the water, really (minor point). Top work.

This image is fantastic and I think you covered the topic VERY well. Good exposure, good lighting, good colors. The only thing I think I would change would be to crop out the reflection. 7

Isn't it amazing that beauty can come out of trajedy (a flood). I love the contrast. It kinda looks like there is a halo from sharpening tho. Can't tell for sure. I still love it.

Good set up and overall composition. Great colours. The only nitpick would be the artificial look it gives to the viewerIMO. Tulips don't really grow in that king of soil (as far as I know). Good luck!
