Very simple and minimal. I like the set up very much and think that the background works well to help make this what it is. Having a different background might not have worked as well.
The lighting on the background seems to be ok everywhere except around the flower and then it does seem like it's a bit too bright, almost engulfing the tulip. Otherwise, lighting is very good and no shadows or hot spots.
Focus seems a tad soft, but I'm wondering if that's just because the white of the background is bleeding into the subject in a matter of speaking.
I saw one comment that said that it might have been good for the tulip to be facing the right, and the more I think about that, the more I think it is true. If this were a photo of a person facing the left, it wouldn't work, I wouldn't think, and I think that maybe the same applies here. Have the negative space in front of the subject. While a flower doesn't really have a 'front and back', this one does appear to be 'facing' left.
I like the color and the photo has overall visual appeal. I think it's a great photo for the challenge.

Hits the minimilist mark, but could use a bit more pop in the color against he white. |

looks like a paper pad for making notes on, otherwise the negative space doesn't seem to be justified. Maybe if the tulip pointed the other way it would help. The exposure looks good though |

I think the concept is beautiful, yet the tulip seems almost "too skinny" for it to work. It looks like info was lost around the edges somehow. I also am not particularily fond of the border - I don't think it helps the picture here, because it adds this "roundness" to a picture that is very graphic and "flat" in the best sense. |

Like it. Could you have something with the white? Seems like isolation to me. |

Every time I look at this , I bump it up a point. This is very clean and simple in its lines. A very serene photgraph - almost zen. I think the border helps put the focus onto the flower, and I really like the fact that the background is not all stark white. |

This is nice, it is like the tulip is dancing! But I would like to see the tulip itself more clearly it is a bit unsharp and makes the picture not as good as it could be based on your good idea. |

This one seems to work, especially when compared to all the other flower photographs. Maybe a little out of focus? Or was the softening deliberate? |

It looks like your tulip is a little out of focus, It's a great idea though. |

Bright white background is harsh on the eyes, and the slight graduation to it doesn't really help break the tedium. Flower seems slightly out of focus. Color contrast is nice. |

Nice, one leaf rather then two in counter point to the flower would really work here. Plus, a little more in focus. 8 |

excellent example of the challenge...I find the darkness on the right side slightly distracting, but very nice shot |

I like the human like shape of the flower, almost dancing! The shading to gey on the right works well too, to provide balance. |
