Great shot, that field certainly looks huge. Just wish the grass were a little greener
05/03/2005 12:15:27 PM
Great shot, zooming in some more will make it even better
05/03/2005 04:59:51 AM
I like the patterns and desolate feel of the shot. 8
05/02/2005 08:15:37 PM

05/02/2005 04:49:25 PM
great perspective and color

Tried this at a Phillies game last week, just had a lousy POV....you had a much better vantage point than I and the result is much what I was trying for....aaaacch! I hate you!.....not really....Love the patterning of the field and the subject is well placed compositionally. Still jealous but I like the shot. 9
05/01/2005 04:49:34 PM
nice pattern in the field
05/01/2005 03:09:10 PM
Cool shot! I love the pattern!
05/01/2005 01:34:59 PM
This is as minimalist as it gets! I like this a lot and the pattern of the cut grass adds a lot of interest to the picture; yet the player draws the eye..

I have several pictures like this and I always find the geometric designs of turf/grass interesting...nice composition...perhaps saturate or darken color of grass a tad? nice job on crop and rotations so that grass design is parrallel with frame..gl 6

This is like isolation. I like the pattern. Subect is small. Good luck.
04/30/2005 06:03:08 AM
I've never seen lines like that on a baseball diamond, (but then again I never go to baseball games) but anyway it really makes the player stand out

Great work
04/30/2005 01:20:12 AM
that meet the challenge all right good shot
04/29/2005 04:09:02 AM
Love the pattern of the grass and the person giving depth of field and scale.
04/28/2005 08:33:59 PM
I see we had the same idea! I like your angle better, but it appears I had better seats! :)

The art of lawn mowing is amazing - a blizzard of green, really all the sme colour. It is the reflected light that shows us the pattern.
04/28/2005 01:25:43 PM
love the texture created on the field, nice photo
04/28/2005 12:13:22 PM
The placement of the player is good, but I think that you could have come a little bit closer in and still kept him as a very small portion of the photo. That would give us a little more clarity where the subject is concerned. I also like the checkerboard of the field :-)
04/28/2005 11:26:07 AM
I love the pattern and the composition. I wish the player were a little more crisp. 7
04/28/2005 10:55:29 AM
Must be boring standing out there all game just waiting for a fly ball.
04/28/2005 08:58:41 AM
totally sweet, good job
04/28/2005 08:21:36 AM
I think you nailed the challenge.
04/27/2005 06:52:54 PM
he almost looks fake
04/27/2005 06:50:44 PM
Commenting only. Nice. Wow, wish I could get such precise lines on my grass. I'm only commenting on the few pictures that are interesting. I'd like this better if the player were more in focus. gl
04/27/2005 03:40:12 PM
good pattern & subject placement
04/27/2005 01:44:05 PM

04/27/2005 06:23:40 AM
I like it, where are the wickets ?
04/27/2005 06:19:46 AM
Meets challenge description, 5pts the designs of the grass is overpowering the ball player giving the view that the lawn is the most important part of the image.

Meets the definition of Minimalism. 6pts
Technical, 5 pts needs more attention to clarity, maybe focus or noise in image.

Artistic, 7pts, this is an interesting image to look at.

Average score, 5
04/27/2005 05:37:15 AM
hmmmmmmm this one is interesting...how did you get the field effect in a basic challenge?
04/27/2005 04:21:33 AM
Even thought I find the mow lines to busy for this challenge the photo works well. Nice job 8
04/27/2005 02:39:28 AM
Amazing.

The shift is on. Must be Barry Bonds is at the plate. At first this image didn't capture my attention, but the more I view it, the more I like it. This is an excellent example of the defination of the challege. And now that my eyes are all fuzzy from looking at the shadowed grass too long, I must score and move one. <7>
04/27/2005 01:28:09 AM
I like this , good colours,
04/26/2005 11:43:45 PM
Nice shot
04/26/2005 11:00:36 PM
Hatched pattern on the field is quite visually interesting and distinctive. Just enough detail on the ball player. Very good entry for this challenge.
04/26/2005 10:29:24 PM
Ah, the boring american pastime. Being able to fall asleep during the game must have its high points, but I'll take soccer, thanks.

That said, I love the pattern in the grass. It really makes the shot, IMO. Good eye.
04/26/2005 08:19:56 PM
Good composition.
