Greetings from the Critique Club
First of all good job on meeting the challenge well. This was an excellent subject choice - I can see why it caught your eye. I especially like the lamps inside the window which emphasise the colour nicely as well as making an interesting light landscape.
Compositionally I find myself looking mostly at two elements of the picture - first of all I'm looking at the items in the foreground of the window. Secondly Im looking at the lamp to the left of the window. My eye sort of bounces back and forth between the two. I think personally I would have cropped the lamp on the left. In fact I would have liked to have seen more detail on the objects in the window. This wonderful jumble of colours could have been made to feel even more jumbled and vibrant if you'd filled the frame them.
Technically you've done OK in difficult circumstances - this night time scene was always going to be difficult to shoot because there's not much light. I expect you had a long exposure time and the lamp on the left has overexposed. Your focus is also a little soft - perhaps due to the long exposure, although this doesn't look like camera shake. I've already mentioned composition but something else that strikes me strongly about this picture is the converging lines towards the top of the window which gives an almost fisheye lens feeling. Lifting the camera higher would have helped reduce that effect.
Overall an interesting shot that meets the challenge nicely but leaves me wanting to see more detail, more colour, more more more.

I find this photo very intriguing - I'm torn because I want to say the outside light is too harsh but in this case I believe it is needed in the photo's composition so I wouldn't change it. Very nice job - it more than meets the challenge! High score :) |

This is interesting. The light on the left is a clever addition! |

Enchanting and provocative. Well done. A moose and palm trees - can\'t image where this is. I can almost read something under the light. OK, where are you? Had it been full 640, I could have given this a 10. I did go to a 9. |

the lamp to the left is extremely distracting, and the entire picture seems too dark to really appreciate the colours found in this window, I do like the idea of the shot though! Perhaps a different angle (maybe higher?) would have aided the composition. |
