The detail is exceptional, right down to seeing the pores of the paper. The contrast seems perfect and the glint of the scissor is just enough to give it composition without overwhelming the picture.

Excellent macro shot !

Edit : Edges of paper a little bit jagged, but that probably caused by resizing. It's almost a B & W picture except for the part of the scissors on the left .... I would have turned it in B & W. Still one of my favorites !

The way the light and shadows work together in this photo is very interesting. I think I might have cleaned up the speckles on the top scissor blade to reduce any distracting qualities that exist.

Very good lighting. It's a little hard to get oriented, though, and appreciate the scissors for what they are. Visually confusing. Paper is nice and sharp.
