 The pastiness of this image, and the fog, was created using a clear cokin system filter unevenly smeared with vasoline! Still experimenting with impressionism, and how to create it in the camera.

I was playing with the title, and changed it last minute, but really, it should be "In the Mist of Impressionism".

I personally don't care for this thick black border with this shot, maybe a smaller, more subtle border would have worked better, the border seems to overpower the beauty of the shot in my opinion.

Wish the canoeist was more in focus. Could have cropped a bit differently. A bit too much fog in the upper portion of the image.

good luck with this one...i hope it doesn't get buried in the pack and overlooked. it really took me a while to get it. at first glance, it almost looks like some kind of duck. if this doesn't do well, it's only because people didn't give it enough time. it's a little heavy on the fog, but all the same, a beautiful image, and one that should be seen to be appreciated. good luck!
