This was not a set-up. I was simply chasing my daughter who loves to run around naked, as she ran out on the deck. Chased and clicked. Didn't think of it as a challenge shot, as I was working on a different one. Had to crop out distracting toys, played with dodging and burning -ruined it, and did much less..desaturated, a bit of dodging stuck with the crop to get rid of the toys..then debated putting it out there, and decided it was no more provocative (in the wrong way) than a diaper commercial. So here it is.

Hehe, this is great! When I was about her age, I love running around nekked too (except for my beloved pink snow boots). I think this is a classic capture of childhood! (A fantastic capture as well)

love this shot... pure fun of a little girl......just like we used to do in the old days....lol.... pre all the hoo haa about a naked child, to me it's still the most precious thing of a child 's youth......we were born naked, then we played naked..... a very comfortable situation... thanks for being brave to put it on, as i have many of these shots too.... makes you wonder why people have a 'thing' with it ?, she's not doing anything, you can't even see her face.....
great work..... need more fun shots like this.....

When she's 16 she's going to hate you for making this public!

I have been reserving comment on this photo all week. I haven't been able to come up with the words I want to use to describe what I see here. First of all, this is an excellent image. It screams of the innocence of childhood. The theme of 'boldy going' seems to indicate a small child in a large world... exploring.... The composition of this photo feels a little cramped, which somewhat contraditcs that theme possibly... just some food for thought...

A wonderful angle in which to make this lovely capture.

i want to say my critique would be a different angle, larger crop, maybe being closer to the ground and the girl farther away.. but then again I don't like to see these sort of subjects so large in an image, its almost crossing the line.... 6

This is just precious! You've done the black and white perfectly here - the way the foreground, subject, and background contrast is excellent; the child really stands out against the grass(?). Texture on the wood is fantastic, and the framing for this works, though I would like to see just a little more space above the child's head. Regardless, this is a great shot!

Oh you will probably get a few haters of this shot, but it's innocent, pure, and IS real life.
Well done! (7)

Heh, this will be a fun shot to pull out for her first boyfriend to see ;-)

I like the overall composition and feel here. Nice candid moment that doesn't feel like a snapshot.

The blown out areas on the grass are a bit distracting.

This is beautifully done... very Sally Mann. She is one of my absolute faves. Nice tonality, tasteful representation, and skillfully executed. Wonderful! :o)
