it's a rock, but it's not really a photograph.
what are you trying to do with this photo? we've al seen rocks before. |

| Try pulling back from the subject just a little; the crop is too tight and causes the composition to feel static and a little claustrophobic - there is no 'frame' to support the rock. |

| Nice and sharp with some texture, but too plain to rate very high. Perhaps some long shadows from the rising or setting sun would have given it some more contrast. |

| not interesting... if you wanted to shoot only this rock, maybe a close-up macro would have displayed a lot of particulars that made something to look at |
