Hay wait a minute no faces, no little kids, no sunset, no cat or dog, not one duck to be seen. Thank God. This is very good and I know most of the comments may say you missed the point. Well I think you hit it on the head. Well done

Does the color add to this shot? I think a nice contrasty b/w tone would work well. When working with a high sun like this, and monotone tones, a b/w treatment can usually add to the emotive quality of shots like this.

I like the idea, but would have gone with a little tighter DOF to make the blur more obvious
