Eh to think outside the box, I like it.
The edges of the paper look jaggedy, maybe too much sharpening?

this was a great idea. i think the slight highlights on the black cost you. however, the idea should have put you in the top 50 at least.

It is a good idea however the photo of the rock is excessively grainy and there is too much light coming from the scissors, good job at utilizing all aspects of the challenge though.
