 Taken just after sunrise which explains the vibrant lighting. The tick coming along during shooting was an added bonus. Thought about titling this "Morning Commute"

1-NeatImage for noise reduction
2-Cloned out several very small distracting items
3-Color Balance Layer (-7 Green +5 Blue midtones only)
4-Levels Layer (RGB only, standard adjustment)
5-Dodge and Burn on 50% greyscale overlay layer (Added some blue highlighting in addition to light burning)
6-Cropped and resized to 640X512
7-Applied standard USM at 100, .3, 0

how vibrant! I love it. The water droplets are so crisp, and the colour is gorgeous and bright. Enough so that the shadows don't distract. Eww on the tick, but nicely captured!

This would have been bumped to a 10 if not for the tick. He turns a beautiful flower into something just a little creepy for me.

Ick - I think its a spider, though. Very nice focus and depth of field. Terrific composition with the placemtn of the background flowers.

Kill that thing before it winds up on your leg. Beautiful macro literally bursting with color. Lighting is almost too harsh but still very effective.
