 A Serendipitous Photo

A work colleague (and fellow DPC'r) were walking through the university where we work when we stumbled upon a group of Digital Film and TV students fiming a scene with an actor in a rehearsal room. We spoke to them and asked if they could let us have 15 minutes with the kit at the end of their shoot.

So I grabbed my friend and other work colleague (non DPC'r this time) John who had just bought himself a new bike days before.

so 30 odd shots, very rushed and not really sure what we were doing with the gear resulted in this.

I'd love to have some time in a proper studio now.

Very slight crop
Auto Levels and a curves tweak to boost the white of the background
Sharpen and submit

p.s. If anyone comments that his skin tone looks a funny colour it's because it is! (in real life)

Great capture in isolation. Not sure about the dark clothes they loose contrast on my monitor.

crisp amd clear. Wondering if "John" is standing in front of white bg or you deleted bg. Either way, nice.

Very nicely done portrait.
The helmet, along with the pose and the slightly concerned look on his face added a lot to what could have been a "static" shot without a lot of mood. (7)

The lighting is perfect, the focus sharp, I donĂ¢€™t know that I would change anything about this picture. I know not a very helpful comment, but I think you nailed it.

There are a lot of portraits in this challenge, I am favouring the ones that tell me about the person and I like this very much. Love the facial expression, the suit and helmut.
