Yep thats what I have heard for about the last 10 years or that I remember the most.. You can even be in a couple of towns away or another county and hear people that have lived here so long say this quote...This road was redone cutting a new road right in front of this store and taking out all the parking. On the road that went straight they cut the other parking space out from the old Pure Gas Station and even splitting the land up on each side of the roads... Now on the inside corner where the house sits that belonged to the owner of the store there is a new store and this store is owned by new people. The new store is called Pikes. I enjoy going in there and try to go frequently a couple of times more a week... It gives me a since of country and farm life as there are horses and pasture.. Huge shade trees and cows.... It makes me wonder how it was when the other store and Pure gas station was open... I am researching and I wished I had the rest of the information as to dates and such but do check back soon and see my website to updates as I learn the history that is right in all around me covering about 2 miles on all sides....

I like the oversharpening here...for some reason, I do the same with my photos...and I like the effect here...good composition...you might of been able to fit the whole building in the frame..im not sure because Im not familiar with it. But the clarity is great and this angle is a good one. You should try getting "lower" if you notice with most of my shots, they are always taken from 2 ft from the ground...I keep my tripod really low...try it out in compositions like this..get close and low and get some sky with your subject as well!

Nice processing but the images lacks a voice.

Seems a bit oversharpened, other than that good job.

A somewhat clear photo but the photo itself is kinda boring. It leaves very little to the imagination and overall doesn't have a very appealing feel to it. It does have some nice colors and the clarity isn't to bad. Good luck in this chalenge.

This is interesting, the white contrast with the rusty tin roof. I like the way the color in the grass compliments the rusty roof. I think your picture stands out. Quite an acomplishment with 498 entries, right?? :) Good job!

An interesting building but I can't say much for the shot. It's a nice and simple shot but just lacks something interesting.
