Taken in the run down pre-war industrial district of downtown Lynchburg, VA. I have no idea what this building used to be used for, but I do think that they are planning to renovate here.

I wanted to submit to this challenge, but at the end of the week, I didn't have any shots yet, so I drove around downtown shooting whatever was interesting. I passed this door with the car in front and said 'That's it'. Had it not been for this, I may have submitted a photo of a giant women's shoe (roughly 2 meters tall at the heel) that was in a vacant lot. It used to be a store sign, but it was still pretty surreal to see a giant shoe.

Post processing involved rotation, cropping, auto levels, a brightness/contrast tweak and then an equalization (not sure what this does, but I liked the effect).

This town o' mine is full of abandoned buildings, so this was a fun challenge to participate in.

Nice artistic interpretation on this challenge.
There is beauty in what society calls an eyesore.
Mixed feelings on the car being there.

I like the contrasting lines. Horizontal, vertical, and 45 degrees. Color is good. I don't like the car in the shot.

I would get rid of the car, nice clean sharp image.

I like this image mainly because of the unusual composition to show part of a vehicle giving a nice rich blue. The wall and what's behind the opening is rather interesting too.

I would have waited until the car moved, totally distracts from the building in my opinion.

I think the car distracts from the image. not sure , but maybe if you moved a few feet to the left, to minimize the car, it might have helped.
