 I took this picture using an inverted EF 35mm f/2.0 lens wide open focused to infinity on a Nikon Coolpix 990 camera. The coolpix zoomed out to the maximum 24mm FL and was focused to infinity with an aperture of f/11 and shutter set to 1/250 sec. The on-board flash was fired and spot metering was used. The camera was set to no sharpening. The magnification on this picture is ~3.2x life-size. The picture was cropped and rotated in PS. A moderate amount of USM was applied and the contrast was bumped up.
