reminds me of peter pan. "once you go, you can never come back" very nostalgic and the simplicity adds a lot |

Framing idea was good as was the walk way leading up to the house. I think I would have cropped a little more of the tree out. House color and grass could have used a little more pop. |

I wish this wasn't cropped so tight on the right hand side... |

i love how the tree looms over the house. i'd like if the one side of the house was fully in the shot though, and maybe a little less path. |

Excellent interpretation of the Challenge. The use of the tree to set off the house was perfect. |

I like it. Glad you didn't jump on the bandwagon of turning pics b&w for this challenge. |

umm, sorry, i did not notice until now... and as i feel i should leave a real comment then, here it is: what prevents the picture to become above average in my eyes is lack of contrast (texture) of the tree, oversubjected composition (path/tree/house) and cropping of the roof. This challenge - somewhat suprisingly - turned out to be too difficult for almost everyone.

What an incredible tree! This might be more interesting without all the yard in the foreground. You might explore cropping the picture about an inch below the base of the tree.. A 6. |

How I would like to see the series you took while trying to get this picture! Since you went with color, I wonder what would happen if you bumped the saturation up by 10? What if you showed us a bit more of this old tree? Although, like me, you may have been faced with a boring sky that day or some nearby buildings you were trying to avoid. |
