 This was a super hard shot - I have shot a lot of sports but this one was the hardest. It looks like he could be posing (I couldn't get that lucky - ,my friend and advid golfer would not let up on his first outing of golf this year!)- but if you were the one taking the photo it's all timing since you can not even see the club - it's that fast! I took 50 takes and got only 3 that had ball contact and the ball was still in the photo. This was the best one I felt. I didn't crop it much if at all and it was hard to find any green grass up here in Canada - just got lucky I guess... Thanks for the comments! There were a few that commented on that golf does not seem to fit extreme action - All I can say is try to duplicate this shot and you will quickly appreciate how extreme it is laying on the ground 20" beside the Tee! :P

very good shot, great composition :) golf isn't what I'd consider "extreme action" though, but the shot is great!

Great action shot. Little contrasty, probably due to time fo day. But you did an excellent job catching the feeling of motion. A little dodge on the face to brighten it up might help some. Then again, it might not. :) 8

Don't like how the blue sky gives the trees on the horizon a blue tint, but this is a good action shot captured at the perfect moment. I'd recommend cropping a bit more from the top by making the amount of space above the golfer's head match the distance from the bottom of the club to the bottom of the frame.

wonderful capture, although i'm probably a bit biased as i love to play golf - lighting could be better, and i might even prefer a tighter crop to direct the attention straight to the driver/ball and not the guy and his face.
