Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Gotchya...

This photograph is nicely composed, but I think it may have actually done better without the reflections in the blade of the scissors. I understand your intention with that, but, to me, it makes the photo seem a bit odd. I do like the strong diagonals created by the scissors. Diagonals always seem to enhance a composition for me.

As for the macro theme, I think we suffered common fates with our photographs in this challenge. My photograph didn't scream 'macro' because it wasn't an extreme closeup. Unfortunately, just having your camera in the macro mode doesn't seem to work for challenges here. The subject needs to appear larger than life to do well in a macro challenge.

Keep up the good work :)

I would call this more of a close up than a macro.

Great idea! Any way to get the peace signs to be a bigger part of the picture? Maybe a slanted angle with that blade closest to the camera?

This is a very poignant message (and subtle, which I like). FYI: It doesn't really fit the macro category to me-- seems more like a still life.

Very unusual Title that you've left. Love the various peace signs on the scissors. Good lighting, good focus, shows good color on the handle and the usage through time/age. Good choice of framing.

Nice close up of scissors, but boring photo!

The white specks just don't help this photo...

I get the sad face thing, but hot pixels plus what IS that reflection? 7.

I don't really see this as a macro. Maybe if the focus was on the little screw in the center?

Poignant snap shot.

Like the reflection in the scissors and the composition. Not quite sure what the message is though.
