The focus seems more on the fence than the building making it IMO disorienting.

Image seems more about the fencing than the building. Perhaps a little less depth of field to have blurred the fencing would have put the focal point on the building more.

There are certain graphic elements tto this that i really like - the contrast of the barbed wire and the fence, the lines of the wire and the lines of the windows, and the block areas of subject. it must be said that it doesn't speak immediately of abandonment (and in a challenge with so many entries, many voters might be looking for any reason to put an image out of contention). For me, it lacks a sense of detail, of anything beyond that purely grahic quality.
