OK, so it's not a "duck" but it is a rubber duckie, in the likeness of Vladimir Guererro, of the EX-Expos. It was a give-away at a game a few years back. Part of the 2003 Sports Ducks series.
My kids ate all the green grapes yesterday, but fortunately, my wife bought more today. Yeah!
OK, so the background's not blue: it does have some blue in it though. It doesn't say that it has to be "ALL" blue, does it?
I have 3 light sources: 2 stobes, one at each side, a tungsten from behind to light the BG (photo from my son's collection of stuff). I also have a flashlight to create the "moon" on the background.
I'll probably get DQed because it's not a duck. Oh well, it's all just for fun anyway.
Used 28-135 IS @ 85mm.
In PS: very slight crop, levels, saturation, contrast, Neat Image (the BG image was grainy), resize, USM, Gaussian blur. |

Sorry, but this figure isn't even trying to pass as a duck! and then while trying to ignore the "bobble-head" feel to the it, I realized the background didn't work for me either (not blue, and not a ballfield.) |

I like the image but I don't know if it meets the guide lines of the challenge. |

Reflections on the "duck" make it look cartoonish. I do like the distortion in the water. |

Very cute and creative! The only thing I'd change is not having the blue stripe in the bowl, it's a bit distracting for me. :) ! |
