Great looking pet! My mother raised this breed for many, many years and they are fantastic friends. She also show a female in Florida that almost always placed first until it had it's last litter and that was the end of her show days!!! Great shot.

| This could be a winner - mainly due to the cracking pose, name and character of your subject. His battle scars , while a bit unsightly, do accentuate the character which, after all, is what portraiture is all about. |

Great looking dog. excellent portrait too, except for the lighting on the right eye, which is just too dark, and the lack of a catchlight is unsettling. On the other hand, the whole effect did force me to look closer at the image, so you must be doing something right :)

| I'm pretty sure the sheer, hilarious, facial expression and angle of ears on this is gonna propel it to the top, but for me it's not sharp enough and is a little too pat to crack the hgihest levels, though I give it a strong score. I especially love the chin whiskers standing out :-) |

| Beautiful Composition. This picture screams "Publicity". I find the colours slightly 'off' and i believe the portrait could've used a little bit more sharpening. Lightning is very nice, but appears a tiny bit washed out on the neck and cheek. Could be my monitor tho. Very cool expression Stanley has. Also love the symetry of the hears with the rest of the shot. Frame is perharps a little too big, but works in enclosing the portrait. Very likable! 8 |

If I must nitpick, I'd mention the backdrop. It would look better if it was more blurred.
Other than that, I love the dog, the composition and the lighting. The expression is just fantastic!! Wonderful photo with very much a "portrait" feel to it. 8 |

| I really like the symetry of this shot. This works quite nicely as a dead center composition. The only thing keeping this out of my 10s is the odd shadow in the eye on the left. A tiny bit more light on that side would make this perfect. Great work. |
