Nice shot, but I think I'm missing the relation to the challenge.

The bird is slightly out of focus and too small in the frame. I'm also having trouble linking this to the challenge of "In the Beginning".

I like this shot..its short and simple. I like how it is just white and then you see the bird in flight. Ncie shot.

In the beginning?

Very nicely simplistic. Getting that stretch of the wings must have been a challenge!

I like the overall concept but the title fails to convey the theme. "First Flight" or "Flying School" or something to that effect might have worked better. I also find the focus is too soft.

Maybe not enough "beginning" with or without the title! Nice image, but just not clear enough or sharp enough to be a great photo.

It's too bad you couldn't get closer.. it's so hard to capture birds in flight.. good attempt!

Negative space. It's the rage. But I'm an Apple fan. Apple ad agencies almost singlehandedly created negative space in the late 1980's. And as with any 20 year old fad, I look forward to the time its overuse is over. If I were going to do this photo, rotate and crop so that the bird was near a corner and facing (just about) the opposite corner. But then I'm not a graphic artist by training.
