 A Hebrew cemetery that is just around the corner but that I had never been into. Took many shots and had trouble deciding which to enter. In the end I slected this low viewpot shot that emphasizes the state of burial with the gravestones and tree towering above. I tried an Amsel Adams style of treatment on the photo and it worked well on the sky particularly, using channel mixer. Some dodging and burning and selective sharpening, then added a little silvery blue back into the shot so it was not quite so forboding.

The headstones on the right seem a little overexposed, otherwise this is great

I like many things about this image. The angle and POV give the headstones a larger than life feeling, and I guess death is larger than life. Composition, focus, desaturation are all virtually perfect. This could be a ribbon contender.
