Returning for comment:
I gave this image a 6. It is a good composition but the tones in the background are very mutted. I realize the challenge here. You have a white angel and a white sky and while this look is not all that bad it begs extra attention since the general feel is more like a silhoutte. Observing the image I would have raised the gamma as the angel can take it without suffering. This will give some wanted relief in the background. |

I quite like this. It's quiet and simple, it stands out as being "respectful" in a challenge noteworthy for its images of neglect. I'd like it better if you'd moved tight just a little bit so the angel and the tree did not end on the exact same vertical line. |

Very nice cemetary feel to this picture. Didn't quite like the threes in the background, but I guess cutting them down was out of the question ;) |

First of all, as you have probably seen there are a lot of angel shots in this contest. Yours is the best of them. Second, apart from the relativity to other angel shots, this is a great photo. Good title, too. I like how the book is only half-full, even though the cemetery is packed. Reminding us that it is a never ending, continual process (life and death). This statue will outlive all of us and keep ours, as well as their stories. 9 |

I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.

There is something about Angels in graveyards that just freaks me out or interest me I don't know which. But I like it. 9 |

Very nice composition! I only wish it was cropped a little differently because it has a sloping feel to it. I really like the concept and use of black & white. |
