Hi Bill...

This is an interesting abstract for sure... I also like the choice of composition on this photo. Orienting your subject and reflection on the right side of the frame seems to work well overall. One thing you may have tried here would have been to do a nice diagonal orientation as well. Diagonal orientations on some subjects seem to create a bit of eye interest that is not your usual path.

Your choice of black and white seems to work nicely here too, but when you are dealing with a reflective surface, you can also do some really intriguing work with color by allowing color patterns to reflect on your surface...

Nice change from a straight shot of an hourglass. I think I'd prefer to see the little bit of the base you've clipped off on the left.
