what is wrong with everyone, I thougt this one would get a ribbon, fantastic job, you should be proud. All of a sudden I feel so much better about my photos that I´ve liked and have been put down too. I find that if my photos aren´t in total focus ppl tend to mark them down, why? If this had been in focus the whole way it would have been flat and uninteresting, just remember that a lot of the ppl who wote don´t know much about photography... |

Brilliant artistic shot. I didn't vote on this challenge because I knew I didn't have time to get to all of them, but this would have been a 10. Very, very clever - with a great message underneath it all. I see lots of people didn't "get" it - but I guess you have to expect that with real art, sometimes. :) |

Interesting approach to the challenge; in my opinion, I would like the shot better if all five apples were in focus, but I understand you intended the shot to turn out this way. |

Dang, those apples must have been out for a while because those cores are so b-r-o-w-n! ;-)

I don't know about the blur as it goes toward the right... and you should have put lime or lemon juice to keep the fruit from turning brown. It's a good idea though. And I like the framing. |

Great idea. You would have gotten top marks but you lose all the extra for the poor focus. Had great potential. I don`t know if you are trying to show more time has expired with the more eaten apples but this in my opinion is totaly unnessesary. The light green border is not a help either! An apple lover |

Great job! The concept is clear and DOF technique is related to the issue. Good luck |

The receding blur is engaging, but I'm not sure why it's there. I love the idea of expressing time with this apple. Well composed and interesting image! |

I'm wondering why the progressive loss of focus ? I think you could have accomplished the same theme with manipulation of the light or placement..good idea |

I like this a lot, shame about the lack of DOF. ( Lemon juice would have stoped the yellowing BTW ) |

the progressive focus is cool, doesnt' shout time to me, personally, but I like the photo nonetheless |

Brillaint work! The shallow DOF really brings to the shot! One of my tops of the week! |

Pity you couldn't have stopped the apples from oxygenating like this - but a very nice idea indeed. |

good idea, opent the DOF though. The whole apple is no more important than your conclusion, the eaten apple. |

This is an excellent concept, but is lacking in focus and quality. Also, It would be better if only the last apple was turning brown. Lemon juice may have helped with the others. |

I quite like the way the progression of the DOF works against the usual progression of the eye. The slight irregularity of spacing disturbs the image a little much for me. |

I feel that this would have been better if all of the apples were in focus and on the same plane. Excellent idea though (and original so far?) |

Ermm..... the person was becoming seriously inebriated while eating the apple? Sorry, that's my first reaction. I think that this photo had alot of potential, but that all the apples should have been in focus. |
