Very good on many levels. My only suggestion for improvement is that the black appears a little gray and somewhat noisy. Of course, I've never won a ribbon -- so what do I know! :) BOL 8 |

Wow, what can I say! I need to get me one of those telescope setups. What a great shot and it certainly would sell for sure. Excellent work.
To finish your title: ... Moon is very nearly full and illuminated generally from the right. |

too bad another entered in a moon picture and this one isn't as good for the simple reason of the black background isn't very black and clean. but good effort nonetheless. |

A very nice moon shot. Crisp, detailed, well-exposed. The BG is quite gray (about level 31) which is perceptibly different from black on my monitor. A bit more contrast here would make this even better. |

Great shot! The moon has a 3D look that's not always shown in moon photos |

i would have darkened down the image (for more contrast) and perhaps applied neat image or another noise-reducing filter to it. 6.

The photo is well taken with good focus and exposure but needs a bit more work in ps. The background should be jet black and the moon needs more contrast and sharpening. Still a 7. |

I like the clarity of the moon itself. I would be really interested to know what equipment was used for this shot. That said, the background really ruins the photo. There seems to be lots of noise. Could this have been cleaned up with a filter? |

The other moon beat you out by 1 point (it had less noise, better detail), they are both great shots! Super job! |

NICE MOON SHOT! Needs much more contrast. There is no true black in the photo. |

I like it even more than IMAGE_ID=157420 - sharper.
What light source did you use - it's perfect :-)
On a serious note, I'd like to see later what kind of lens this was (or a telescope) and what kind of crop. Top 10 for me. |

Could really use more contrast to make the blacks black, rather than grayish. |

Very nice stock shot. Did you take this shot...or is this some kind of monitor trick? If so...what lens did you use? |
