Actually, when I submitted this shot, I never thought it would ribbon. I need a confirmation and a friend told me it will do well. I showed it to the mother of the girl in the background and she was almost in tears. It must be good, so I said. But the best friend connection is not so strong. Thus, this getting a ribbon is really a big thing for me. Finally, I have one this year. Now I can take a rest for a while and concentrate on my work...
Thanks to you all for voting this high...no 1s and 2s...yeheyyy!!!! Thanks to all those who chose this a s a favorite. I am getting farther and farther from my subjects and including more and more context. Your appreciations are helping me achieve a kind of portrait for me. Thanks everyone. |

Wow! Love the clarity and lighting. The expressions are very candid and unique. It's unscripted, un-posed....something only a great photographer with comfortable communication with their subjects can obtain. Outstanding work. Should finish high :)

| Gorgeous shot Manny. Soft, beautifiul colors and I don't know what you did with the post processing but the skin tones look almost like some kind of paint. Looks great. What a wonderful espression you caught too, just perfect. Fraction of a second either way and it would be lost. |

| This is beautiful. Looks like a painting. I can't say that the best friends theme is real obvious here, but it works. I think the crop might be a bit too tight. I would have liked to see a bit more space on the left maybe framing in her arm with her hair. |
