perhaps more abstract than surreal but I think it is a very good picture that is deserving of merit

Cool idea, done too many times unfortunatly. Colours could've been a lot better and there is this noise that doesn't help. Composition is ok, but could've been a little tighter. A frame could help some. 4

I nearly took a picture like this myself. I don't think it would have occured to me to get over it like you did, to keep the post out of the picture. Pretty, surreal, nicely focued and exposed, 10

Really cool shot, but unfortunatly, knowing that it is one of those science ball things, it dosn't impress much more than that. This photo says more of science then surrealism to me, but you've done a great job with this subject.
