I like the idea - maybe if the texture of the palm leaf filled the whole frame it would have more "wow", the bottom stem and piece of twig and the piece curling out on the bottom right take something away from this.

Nice lighting. I'd have preferred this as an abstract with a closer view of the lit portions.

Good subject matter, the lower left part of the palm leaf comes off a bit too bright, but this is a still a good photo. 6.
