This is my first submission in a challenge on DPC. I hardly expect to achieve much, given the enourmous talent that DPC has onboard, but I am happy with this submission none-the-less.

Taken on Kaitorete Spit near Christchurch, with the NW winds speeding across the plains.

...this fence shot great, fyi voted nine. A funny picture for the challenge, but well made with an element of the unexpected.

This is such a great shot. That being said, I would not have included the electric fence sign. To me it's a distraction. The wires on the fence, sky, wind blown grass, and depth is spectacular. (9)

O yes, the perspective is very interesting, love the way it vanishes into the distance. Sky is good too. The only flaw is the centered position of the horizon, but many of the other elements of this photo make up for that.

Great contrast and depth of field. If I had to make any criticism, I'd say that the grass in the centre of the frame may be a little too bright.

despite the very modern subject matter, I'm sure Ansel would have approved! Only suggestion is that perhaps the horizon should be less central vertically

With miles of fence, why did you take it with all of the hardware in it? Distracts from otherwise great shot.

yes, it's rather plain, not much point of interest although the dof is rather good, drama in the clouds....

I like this picture but would have liked it more without the sign. I would buy this as a print without the sign.
