 Detail of the ground at High Point State Park in NJ. I'm very happy with the tonal range and think this fits the challenge quite nicely, but I was hoping for a stronger subject / focal point.

Most of the ground was covered with deep snow, with only patches of rock or ground showing so I searched for something with a wide tonal range. Not sure how this will do, but I think rather poorly given that it's a detail rather than a sweeping landscape. I think voters are going to look for a pretty landscape no matter if it's an Ansel style photo or not.

Camera was D70 with a 50mm F/1.8 lens.
