 Rosemary is the herb of remembrance. The leaves are clipped to represent failure or transience of memory. The title is a reference to Rene Magritte's iconic pipe image, "This is not a pipe" ("Ceci n'est pas une pipe"). "Ours" = "bear" in French. I am the bear (bear_music). The mouse is DPC voters. I expect nobody to get this image.

Virtually straight shot under north skylight, minor tweaking of hue/saturation.

Tout dpc est ne de la tete de l'ours nu. - Est-elle une grande oubliette? Ca m'effraye.

Great photo there Bear, quality is superb. You know I just may have got who this was by if you included a boombox in the backround, but that would just ruin the whole picture so I'm glad you didn't :-)

And for those interested, "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" by Marcel Duchamp.

one DOES have to shake one's head and mutter... FORTY-FOUR 3's, 2's and 1's? Are they serious? How can this image POSSIBLY be a 3-or-worse? It's sharp, it's well-lit, it's nicely composed, the colors are pleasing, the compoisition is workmanlike, and it's reasonably surreal to boot. Sigh... It doesn't matter, tough...
