Good lighting and great control over shadows. An unique perpective. -NBT

I like the simplicity and composition of this picture. The background (wall) and foreground (lower right table) seems a little grainy to me, but it could be on my end. Nice shot.

The idea and the colors work well. I might have tried a little more dramatic lighting. If the light on the right was moved down, the apple's shadows would be even longer.

not a bad shot... the lighting could have been a bit better to give the photo more umph !

Don't you hate it when this happens?! Nicely set up and shot, on of my favorites!

Dig the shot, but wish it was lit on the opposite side -- that way the apples wouldn't be in the shadow of the fruit bowl. Lighting is also causing there to be kind of a lot of noise in the shot and with all those flat white surfaces, it's really noticeable. Nicely composed.

looks a tad bit over sharpened on my monitor, otherwise, a nice photo

The colours really stand out in this picture.. the apples look nice and crisp, like you could just pick one up and eat it. job well done.

I love this photo. The lighting is very effective, causeing nice highlights on the apples and lovely long, soft shadows. It's soft enough to bring out all the subtle shapes on the bowl. The arrangement is at once very static, but also suggests it just fell over so there's a dynamic element to it as well. Lastly, the tiles and muted colours in the background add a lot to bringing out the colours and roundness of the apples. Lots to look at in a deceptively simple photo :). 10

nice photo. good choice of subject

I really like the composition and colors inthis one. The background is a bit grainy, especially on the right - are you able to shoot at a higher ISO? The only other distracting element is the crak in the wall behind the table. Maybe if you moved the table and had some flat surface behind the whole scene? Anyway, very nice work!

kind of pretty, but not very interesting...

Overall beautiful. Some color in the background would balance the composition.

Good shot! The apples "rolling out" helps create "interest", Nice and Simple! Photo 10 Creativity 8 Upsidedown 9 total 9

This is a classic still life set-up with great composition. The upset bowl of apples is obviously the subject of the photo. The redness of the apples lends to the overall classic feel. The lighting might me a little harsh on the shiny surfaces. The walls in the background frame the table nicely, but lining up the corner of the table with the corner of the walls might have given the photo a more resolved look. Nice job in preparing the area, it's free of distractions. General feeling of the photo is a warm one, reminds me of paintings that might hang in your grandparents house.

nice idea
works for me
angles, colors.....
the light direction and sort of weak shadows would be nice if they were stronger in my opinion.
good job.

Absolutely excellent exposure. A little noisy, but extremely well done nonetheless. One of the best I see for this week.

Interesting idea, a different angle could've been more dramatic.

awesome. very classical still life. i think the left side of the scene is a hair dark, keeps it from perfection.

This is a beautiful shot... Looks like the remnants that my cat would leave in his wake :) The lighting is also very nice... good job!

Whoops.
Beautiful colors here and a nice photograph. Maybe a pinch dark on the left.
Nice job.

a good way to show that even a perfect world.....with perfect colors and perfect apples can be upside down. This show the fragility of the world we live in ..... very philosophical.....good job!

Very well done. In my top 3.

Nice idea for upside down pic. You probably should have moved more to the left to get the light from the side and front rather than from the back. the reflection of the window/door on the plate shows and doesn't look good.

Your lighting on this shot is wonderful. High marks!
