Liked this very much in the challenge. Thought of something similar but not with the park. Then I picked something else and got slammed big time. Oh well. Be on the look out for the next Philly DPC get together.

Thank you for all your wonderful comments. I wasn't sure how this would do, and I know very little of Ansel Adams. I did some research at the start of the challenge to expose myself to more than the few pictures I had seen hanging on walls in my doctor's office, etc. So I was just going by what I quickly observed about him in a short amount of time. Personally, I like the way this photo came out, Ansel Adams style or not.

What a beautifully presented scene of the 'ordinary'. It has that serene, tangible silence about it that I love when snow falls and dampens sound, while delivering an uplifting sense of abandonment of rules & regulations. Rare snow (as here in London) is one of those rare instant changes that society experiences which can so often change everything in a short space of time. I love it - and this could pass for an Adams due to it's good tonal range and excellent exposure. Good luck.

A great atmosphere here. One slight criticism would be that the bench on the right looks a little 'soft'.

This is a beautiful "print" I bet. I wish you coudl have gotten a touch more luminosity out of the snow, it shoudl have been doable. Not much, just a tad. An interesting take ont he challenge.

Looks more like Alfred Stieglitz! It's a gorgeous shot, but doesn't have that AA look to it. 7
My second pass on this photo and I'm feeling a bit more generous because this is such a cool shot, I'm bumping this up to an 8. Also selected as favorite.

The lights, the snow, the contrast of dark branches and white snow, the empty benches....Excellent! 10.

This is beautiful. I can't vote, but if I could I would give it a 10. I'm sure you'll finish in the top ten photos.
